WWE NXT 2.0 Superstar Amari Miller has deleted her Twitter account following backlash over a tweet about Sasha Banks.
Banks, who walked out of WWE during the May 16, 2022 episode of Monday Night RAW, is rumored to be returning as part of the post-Vince McMahon era of the company.
On Twitter, Miller spoke about Ember Moon, now Athena in AEW, praising her as the only African-American NXT Women’s Champion.
“Shoutout to Ember Moon being the first and only African American @WWENXT Women’s champion… NXT Goal! Let’s make it 2!!”
When fans brought up Banks, who held the title in 2015, Miller responded with the following message:
“No thanks:) Sasha is German and black I said African American:)”
Miller also shared a response from Google, which highlights that Banks is African-American on her mother’s side, and German on her father’s side.
After further backlash, Miller explained her stance that she was focusing on solely African-American Superstars.
“For everyone on Twitter Fully Black NXT champion (Ember Moon)
“I’m aware what I posted
“Sasha is great and legendary for sure let’s never forget!”
Her account has since been deactivated.
