Paul London Criticizes Brian Cage’s Moveset

Paul London spent much of his time in WWE capturing tag team titles and wowing the fans with his aerial maneuvers. Although London’s signature style made him a staple in both the tag and cruiserweight division, he didn’t gain the same amount of success as the heavyweight stars did during his tenure with the company. London did make enough of an impact to earn multiple tag titles and PWI Tag Team of the Year in 2007 with his partner Brian Kendrick.

London recently spoke on wanting to become a producer of some kind on AEW but was unfortunately shot down by the company. While speaking with Rene Paquette on Café De Rene, London criticized one particular AEW star over his move set and how he hasn’t left much of an impact while in the company. This talent is Brian Cage.

“I like Brian [Cage] … but like, he doesn’t do himself any favors because, you know, you’re telling me that a guy who looks like a truck can literally do 10-20 things to somebody half his size and still lose? Then what are you hitting them with, like, marshmallows?” London questioned. “I hope Brian can somehow figure it out to where it’s like, you’re not going to bump the same for everybody.”

Cage lost his attempt to regain the FTW Championship against Ricky Starks last October. He has since wrestled for Ring of Honor at SuperCard of Honor 2022. Cage would defeat Ninja Mack in a three-minute match. It was confirmed in February that Cage would remain under contract for AEW through 2023. With so much talent coming into AEW, we’ll have to see if Cage can still find a spot for himself.
