According to a report from the @WrestleVotes Twitter account, Shane McMahon is expected to announce a “new concept” on RAW tonight. The new concept reportedly “raised some eyebrows backstage” at the WWE Performance Center today.
As of this writing, the details on what the actual concept is haven’t been revealed.
In addition to that, a new faction that will “cause chaos and shake up the organization’s structure” will be debuting on RAW tonight. All of this appears to be a play on the real-life chaos that usually happens during TV tapings with heavy rewrites, late-additions, etc. Basically, they are taking a real-life situation and will be incorporating it into their storylines. There were people at the Performance Center today who were rolling their eyes, with one saying “It’s like a big joke to them as ratings continue to tank.”
This comes after reports this morning from Gary Cassidy of Sportskeeda, saying, “From what I’ve been told, today’s #WWERAW is apparently “totally unprepared” and “chaos from the top.” Two shows are being taped, with the first is changing on the fly while the second is still apparently incomplete. That should make for interesting viewing if nothing else! Apparently there’s a lack of leadership & a lot of stress due to the indecisiveness. I’ve been told, “The shows will happen and air, but there’s no attainable goal of quality because everything is decided under the pressure cooker of it all coming down to the very last minute.” I should add, I’ve lost count how many consecutive weeks I’ve been told there’s chaos, multiple re-writes, etc going into RAW and SmackDown and of course the show always goes on. However, the stuff I’ve been told about what’s going on today seems even wilder than usual.”
Shane McMahon is being brought back to television tonight to introduce a new concept to Monday Night RAW. The concept itself has raised some eyebrows backstage at the PC today.
