As we previously reported here on eWN, Davey Boy Smith Jr’s tenure with NJPW coming to a end. His departure comes after almost 7 years with the company starting in 2012.
According to Dave Meltzer, the reasoning for his departure is due to NJPW not letting him work with Impact Wrestling.
Dave Meltzer reported the following:
“Yeah, he wasn’t happy. It’s not like one thing, there’s been a bunch of stuff. He wanted to go to Impact and they said no. There’s a miscommunication over that.”
However, Davey Boy Smith Jr is still under a 2 year contract with Major League Wrestling (MLW). Previously, in a exclusive interview here on eWN he expressed interest in All Elite Wrestling.
