Who will emerge victorious in the best-of-seven series between The Elite and Death Triangle? Fans don’t know, and AEW isn’t too sure either.
The Elite became the first AEW Trios Champions at AEW All Out but were stripped of the titles shortly after due to their role in the backstage fight.
Death Triangle has held the gold since then, and the two teams are currently tied in a best-of-seven series.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that there have been “differences of opinion” over who should emerge from this series of matches as the AEW Trios Champions.
The seventh and final match of this series will take place next week on the January 11 edition of AEW Dynamite.
