While it was pretty much expected to happen, the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) “Double or Nothing” event sold out in less than 25 minutes. That’s not a typo, folks. There were nearly 14,000 tickets sold in less than 25 minutes during the pre-sale. Of course, many “scalpers” likely got some of those tickets and will try to re-sell them for double or triple their face value but the show is basically a sellout. And although some fans may have been “screwed” out of tickets (due to scalpers unless they want to pay double/triple face value), the promotion itself is still making money with any and all tickets being sold. Scalpers suck, y’all!
It should be noted that some additional tickets will be released during the General Public on-sale starting Wednesday at noon EST but you better get them quickly.
The Young Bucks tweeted the following on Monday’s pre-sale ticket sales:
I think we need to try one in a bigger building.
