Fans shouldn’t expect Kazuchika Okada in WWE judging by recent bookings regarding the five-time former IWGP Heavyweight Champion.
Last month, it was reported that Okada’s contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling expires at the end of January and that WWE has shown great interest in hiring him.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, however, it is pointed out that Okada is being booked and promoted for NJPW past the January expiry date.
This has led to the belief that Okada has either already signed a new deal with NJPW or is actively planning to do so at the right time.
Okada was part of the recent NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 event which saw him defeat AEW’s Bryan Danielson.
