According to a report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, there have been some talks within WWE internally regarding the possibility of holding an all-women’s event this fall. The plan would be to hold the event in late September or October.
The site says the idea stems from the fact that the main roster WWE women were not able to participate in the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia several months ago. As you may recall, this caused a lot of backlash online and from the women themselves. If the show takes place, it would make up for the payday that the women missed out on for the Greatest Royal Rumble event.
As of this writing, there is no word on if the all-women’s show would include talents from NXT, former “Divas” or even some unsigned indie workers. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
