WWE Hall of Famers Ric Flair and Jim Ross took to Twitter on Wednesday night and gave some high praise for Bryan Danielson and Hangman Page’s match on the “Winter Is Coming” themed episode of AEW Dynamite.
As we reported earlier here on eWn, Danielson and Page fought to a 60-minute time limit draw in a Match of the Year candidate on Dynamite.
Flair said,
“I’ve Done So Many Hour Draws, Some Great, Some Average! Tonight, You Gentlemen Set A New Bar!! The Wrestling World Can Learn From @theAdamPage & @bryandanielson! CONGRATULATIONS! WOOOOO! @AEW #AEWDynamite”
It was reported earlier in the day here on eWn that Ric Flair said Bryan Danielson was “okay” in the ring but wasn’t better than Kenny Omega or AJ Styles so it appears “The Nature Boy” is backtracking a bit here. For what it’s worth, AEW Dynamite is taking place in Greensboro, NC next week, which is a territory that Flair used to often wrestle in. Sting will also be competing in the main event of the show.
Ross added,
“HELLUVA WRESTLING MATCH!”
