New Intercontinental Champion Ricochet made history following this week’s SmackDown as he’s now the only man to win all three secondary titles across the three U.S. based brands.
On this week’s show, Ricochet won the title from Sami Zayn, thanks to a distraction from Zayn’s WrestleMania opponent Johnny Knoxville.
With this win, Ricochet is the only Superstar to have held the Intercontinental, United States and NXT North American Championships.
The second North American Champion, Ricochet won the title in August 2018 at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4.
A year later, Ricochet would be called up to the main roster and capture the United States title in June 2019 at WWE Stomping Grounds.
