Ronda Rousey burst onto the scene in WWE last January and has since proven to be one of the company’s hottest attractions. The newly inducted UFC HOF’er has been featured in interviews with media outlets all across the globe, but her interview with Sports Illustrated revealed a personal conversation that Vince McMahon had with Rousey just before Wrestlemania.
“Vince specifically told me to go out and allow myself to feel everything that I was feeling and not hide anything. And not to try and go out and be the tough girl, but to allow myself to smile, to enjoy it because, according to Vince, when I smile the whole world wants to hug me.”
In my opinion, Rousey and Angle’s win over Stephanie and HHH was match of the night.
Now, an interesting Summerslam fact has been brought to my attention and I wanted to share it with you guys.
This year will be the 31st Summerslam but the very first one to not feature Bret Hart, Triple H, John Cena, or The Undertaker.
It’s mind blowing to know that every Summerslam PPV you could find one of these familiar faces… until now. WWE should take this as an accomplishment as they have filled their card with new, young, and some even homegrown talent.
