As seen at Sunday’s (February 17, 2019) WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on the WWE Network, WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey retained the title over Ruby Riott.
Post-match, Becky Lynch then walked out on crutches through the crowd and attacked both Rousey and Charlotte Flair.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rousey needed stitches after the angle. There was an agreement where Rousey wanted Lynch to hit her as hard as she could and as a result, Rousey ended up with a cut on her elbow that needed stitches.
Rousey was also bleeding heavily from the side of her head. Following the angle, she was checked for a concussion where it was determined that she was fine.
