Despite rumors to the contrary this morning, there have been no talks between James Ellsworth and WWE regarding a potential return to the company. There were rumors (via PWInsider) that Ellsworth would be returning to WWE at this Sunday night’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Chicago, IL.
Ellsworth tweeted the following earlier today, noting that he will be in China on Sunday for Middle Kingdom Wrestling in Harbin. He’ll be defending his intergender title against Ferguson, Tyra Russamee and a mystery opponent. While there is a chance he could always return to WWE at some point down the line, it doesn’t appear that it’ll take place this Sunday at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view unless he cancels his scheduled indie appearance. The fact that he’s promoting the appearance today likely means he has every intention of making the booking:
