According to a new report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, Sami Callihan has signed on with Lucha Underground to be a part of season three of their series. The two sides began negotiating shortly after Callihan worked a dark match at a season two TV taping. Callihan will make his official debut with the promotion this weekend.
Callihan briefly worked in WWE NXT as “Solomon Crowe” before requesting his release late last year. The reason he gave WWE for requesting his release was that he wanted to “reinvent himself in the independents”.
As of this writing, there are no other details on his Lucha Underground character.
