Saraya is hopeful that fans going through a difficult time will be inspired to turn their lives around just as she has.
The British wrestler debuted for AEW at the Grand Slam episode of Dynamite in September, months after her WWE contract expired.
During her time in WWE, Saraya failed the company’s wellness policy twice and would have an incredibly toxic relationship with Alberto Del Rio.
Speaking to GAW TV, Saraya said she hopes to be an inspiration to others, and addressed some of her past actions. She said,
“I’ve messed up. I’ve done some pretty crazy stuff, you know. I’ve turned my life around. Drugs, alcohol, being in an abusive relationship, doing these crazy things, breaking your neck twice. You don’t need to be perfect to inspire others. Let people get inspired by how you deal with your imperfections.”
After a near-five-year retirement, Saraya returned to the ring at AEW Full Gear with a victory over Britt Baker.
The former WWE Divas Champion will team with a mystery partner to face Baker and AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter on the January 11th episode of Dynamite.
