Sarray formally announced her departure from WWE at a press conference on Monday.
This comes after it was reported last week that Sarray would be leaving WWE when her contract expired.
Now, she will be wrestling as a freelancer in Japan. Sarray also posted a tweet to thank WWE.
“No matter what some people might say, I did my best. I am so glad that I had the chance to go to WWE,” Sarray wrote. “Thank you WWE. Thank you Sarray. Thank you WWE Universe.”
Sarray will return to the ring at the Sareee-Ism: Chapter One event in Tokyo on Tuesday, May 16. Her last match took place when she lost to Mandy Rose on NXT last August.
She signed with WWE in 2021 before making her NXT debut that April. Her arrival was delayed by a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
