MJF had a controversial moment during his Iron Man match with Bryan Danielson at Sunday’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view event that saw him retain the World Heavyweight Title. During the bout, the Salt of the Earth threw tequila on a young kid sitting at ringside.
MJF didn’t know it was tequila and wound up having a serious conversation with AEW President Tony Khan after the match. AEW made things right with the fan by bringing him backstage, giving him merchandise, and inviting him to Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite.
Some fans have criticized MJF for the moment while others have praised him for being a “real heel” in wrestling. Scorpio Sky commented on the debate when he wrote the following on Twitter:
