Sean Waltman on Harley Race:

“I heard Jim Cornette actually say something…it was interesting how he put it, because it’s true, a lot of the fans back in the time, they shortchanged Harley because he made the guy he was wrestling look like the greatest wrestler in the world. He was the greatest, but he made the other guy [look like he was]. That was the thing, what Jimmy said.
“I just watched [Harley Race vs. Hulk Hogan] last night, and in classic Harley Race fashion, he could go out there and just eat his lunch if he wanted to. But if you go back and watch it, Harley is all over that fucking ring, bouncing around for Hulk. He even lays down and has Hulk stand over him and rip the shirt, the kind of things you would think that wouldn’t happen in a match with Hulk and Harley. Harley was about as professional as you could be out there. ‘[Hulk]’s the guy that’s making the money, and we’re gonna make him look great.’ Fucking Harley made him look like a billion dollars.”

Waltman comments Goldberg’s Return:

“Goldberg got a good reaction coming out, so that’s a good sign. That means this very well may work as designed. It’ll be really good, as long as people dig it. […] I would like to see Dolph win this. I think that would be a good gesture. Since this is a work and everything, and one shouldn’t have too big of an ego, maybe it would be good to give back to the business and leave Dolph better off than when he started this.”

Waltman on the Jeremy Ganger, the independent wrestler that stopped the Dayton, Ohio shooting:

“Who knows how many lives that guy saved? I’m grateful for the guy. Thank you, Jeremy. That’s it. I don’t even know what to say. You’re a hero, and you deserve to be honored. So right now, I’m honoring you. Hell of a job.”
