Mr. Money in the Bank Theory made history at last night’s Premium Live Event, but not for the reason he would have hoped.
During the show, Theory lost the United States Championship to Bobby Lashley but captured the Men’s MITB briefcase as a surprise eighth man in the Men’s Ladder match.
In doing so, Theory is the first and only Superstar to win a MITB Ladder match and lose a title on the same night.
Several Superstars have won the briefcase and cashed in to win a title on the same night, including Kane, Dean Ambrose, Bayley and most recently, Liv Morgan.
