WWE United States Champion Theory has teased a match with John Cena at this July’s SummerSlam 2022 event.
Theory captured the U.S. Championship from Finn Balor last month and has already claimed to be a better champion than Cena.
On Instagram, Theory shared a match card of a hypothetical U.S. Title defense against Cena, asking “why not?”
Cena last competed on WWE television at SummerSlam 2021 in a losing effort to Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
