AEW President Tony Khan is ready to host a crossover event with WWE following the success of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Last month, AEW and NJPW teamed up for the event which has proven to be a financial and critical success.
While speaking on The Ringer’s Masked Man Show, the AEW President spoke about teaming with WWE:
“I’m not sure if that’s gonna happen [AEW and WWE doing a joint show]. But, I would be open to talking about that type of thing. It’s not crazy but it’s a bold prediction.”
WWE has been more open to working with other promotions this year, including having Impact’s Mickie James in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Several AEW stars appeared on WWE RAW last week via video vignettes to praise John Cena, who was marking 20 years since his main-roster debut.
