CM Punk remains suspended from All Elite Wrestling and fans should not expect any updates from company President Tony Khan.
Punk hasn’t been seen on AEW programming since All Out 2022, where he captured the AEW World Championship for the second time.
CM Punk’s post-show comments and his role in the backstage fight caused his suspension and it is reported that he is seeking a buyout of his contract.
Speaking to Grapsody, Khan was asked about whether Punk will appear in 2023 but refused to comment on the situation.
Khan did say that there had been plans for Punk and FTR to be a trio over the summer, but that didn’t happen due to Punk’s foot injury.
It was also noted that a lot of the card for AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door had to be changed because of Punk’s injury.
