On June 10th, WWE applied to trademark the phrase “Legion of Doom”. Of course, this was the original name for The Road Warriors. There is speculation that the trademark has to do with the new “Authors of Pain” WWE NXT tag-team, managed by Paul Ellering. This is not confirmed as WWE could just be reclaiming the name. It should be noted that the trademark is registered for “Entertainment services, namely wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio.”
Triple H tweeted the following on Monday, announcing three new WWE NXT live events:
