As seen at Saturday night’s WWE Fastlane 2023 pay-per-view event, Carlito made his return as the mystery partner for the LWO’s Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar in a six-man tag team match against Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits. The LWO came out with the “W” in the end.
During the post-WWE Fastlane 2023 media scrum, WWE Chief Creative Officer Triple H commented on Carlito’s return to WWE. He said,
“The return of Carlito tonight, long overdue and very excited for him. As he would say, ‘That’s cool. You know, just excited to have him back excited to have him back home, and excited to see what he can what he can do on this run.”
Prior to Saturday night, the last time we saw the former WWE Intercontinental, United States, and Tag Team Champion was at WWE Backlash 2023. Carlito signed a full-time contract with WWE over the summer.
