We reported yesterday here on eWn that Olympic gold medalist wrestler Tamyra Mensah-Stock revealed that she’s interested in joining WWE. For those unaware, Mensah-Stock recently became the first American Black woman to win a gold medal by winning the 68-kilogram freestyle final, 4-1, over Nigeria’s Blessing Oborududu.
WWE tweeted out the following clip of her interview where she talked about wanting to work for WWE:
“Could Mensah-Stock follow in the footsteps of fellow Olympians such as Kurt Angle, Chad Gable and Ronda Rousey to turn international glory into WWE Superstardom?”
Triple H saw Mensah-Stock’s comments and tweeted the following,
“Congratulations on a history-making gold medal at the #TokyoOlympics! The door to @WWE is always open!! #TeamUSA @MensahTamStock”
