Two More WWE Stars Recently Requested Their Release From WWE

Following their match on Monday Night RAW this week, The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) reportedly asked WWE management for their release from the company, per a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter. On WWE TV, The Revival have been complaining of a “conspiracy” against them.

No matter their efforts, they’re always deterred from capturing WWE Tag Team gold. Those grievances may not necessarily just be a storyline. Since being called up to the main roster in April of 2017, they haven’t accomplished much. Dawson and Wilder were much more successful during their NXT tenures.

Two-time NXT Tag Team Champions, Tag Team of the Year winners and Match of the Year winners for their 2-out-of-3 falls match against  Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa at NXT TakeOver: Toronto. The Revival join the likes of Mike and Maria Kanellis, who also recently asked for their WWE releases. Meltzer added that WWE won’t be granting any releases for “obvious reasons.” Those reasons likely being the announcement of All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
