The Wrestling Observer (via Wrestlezone.com) has an update on the recent WWE returns of The Great Khali and Chris Jericho. Khali made his return to the WWE last Sunday at Battleground and helped Jinder Mahal defeat Randy Orton. Jericho returned after a brief absence on Smackdown Live and lost to AJ Styles and Kevin Owens in a Triple Threat match for the US title.
According to the report, both Khali and Jericho are not advertised for any WWE events going forward, including television and live events. Khali’s status is reportedly unclear. Because WWE is attempting to build up Jinder Mahal to help increase the company’s business in India, it is expected that Kahli could be used in a similar way because of his huge star power in the country.
