PWinsider.com is reporting that Tommaso Ciampa’s ankle injury is worse than originally thought. He is scheduled to travel to Birmingham, Alabama shortly for further diagnosis and treatment.
As noted, Ciampa suffered the injury at last Thursday’s NXT live event in Highland Heights, KY. Despite the injury, Ciampa wrestled at NXT Takeover: Chicago against Authors of Pain for the NXT Tag Team Titles in a Ladder Match. Post-match, he attacked his tag team partner Johnny Gargano.
