Former WWE Superstar CJ ‘Lana’ Perry has apologized for an insensitive comment about a homeless wrestling fan.

Perry was released from WWE in June of 2021, after an eight-year stint with the company.

When a fan recently stated that they are struggling with homelessness, Perry responded on social media in a now-deleted tweet.

“At least you have a device.”

Fans took issue with Perry’s lack of empathy, and in a video, the former WWE manager/Superstar made it clear she was sorry. She wrote,

“I am sorry to the people that took an offense when I said ‘at least you have a device.’ As weird as this sounds it was coming from a place of love and trying to encourage him to not give up. I understand my Eastern European upbringing and motivational speech did not resonate with many of you.”

Many homeless people still have access to a smart device which is incredibly valuable for various tasks including location, time management and seeking work.

Perry hasn’t wrestled since her WWE release, but recently teased joining AEW and siding with her husband Miro.
