It looks like there will be more coming in the Maria Kanellis pregnancy storyline. On RAW, Kanellis revealed she and Mike Kanellis are expecting a baby boy as she is 20 weeks along in her pregnancy. Rusev was eventually named the father of the child.
According to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the plan is to milk the mystery father angle to boost ratings. When it’s all said and done, Rusev will not be the father, and it’s unknown who WWE is planning to be revealed as the father. It was also noted that this would be more of a running joke instead of a real angle, despite hopes for a ratings boost.
