The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWE Clash of Champions PPV event:
WWE Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy vs. AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn – Ladder Match
A brawl broke out to start this one off. AJ caught Hardy with a baseball slide with a ladder before hitting a crossbody. Sami hit a springboard moonsault off the floor to AJ. Hardy hit a backdrop to Zayn on a ladder. Jeff missed a dive and crashed in between a ladder. Styles sent Zayn bouncing off a ladder in the corner and had welts on his back. Styles and Hardy were battling on a ladder before Hardy hit a few signature moves.
Zayn was climbing the ladder, but Styles threw a ladder at him to knock him off. Jeff and Styles were battling on top of the ladder, but they both fell off and crashed onto the top ropes. Styles sent Zayn back first onto the announce table before setting up a ladder between the ring and table. Hardy hit a swanton bomb off a ladder to Zayn through another ladder. Zayn put a handcuff through the earlobe of Hardy and attached it to a ladder.
Zayn then handcuffed himself to Styles. Hardy used the ladder attached to his ear as a weapon while Zayn handcuffed AJ to a different ladder and Zayn grabbed the titles.
Winner: Sami Zayn
