WWE did an injury angle with AJ Lee on last night’s Friday night Smackdown and down below is the storyline injury update from WWE.com:
Friday night on SmackDown, moments after her victory over Rosa Mendes, WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee was pushed off the SmackDown stage by fellow Diva Paige. AJ suffered injuries as a result of Paige’s actions.
“AJ was initially not responding when we got to her,” stated WWE physician, Dr. Chris Amann. “As a precautionary measure, we put her in a neck brace, put her on a backboard and escorted her to a local medical facility for follow-up testing. There, she was diagnosed with a whiplash injury.”
