As seen during Friday night’s SmackDown broadcast, WWE was giving the impression that The Undertaker had wrestled his last match. The broadcast team mentioned numerous times that the Boneyard Match was the final match of his career. Of course, you guys all know by now what usually happens around WrestleMania time so who knows. At the end of the Last Ride docuseries, ‘Taker said the following,
“Never say never, but … at this point in my life, and in my career, I have no desire to get back in the ring.” He did say that if Vince McMahon was in a “pinch” and needed him, he’d be there.
During SmackDown, several video packages and segments aired with WWE Superstars such as Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, and others commenting on The Undertaker’s career. King Corbin cut a promo blasting ‘Taker which led to Jeff Hardy coming out. That set up the main event for the show:
