WWE Is Planning Big First Time Ever Match For SummerSlam


News about which matches WWE is looking to book at this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view event continues to come out as the company is reportedly planning to load up the show. 

WrestleVotes reported today that a match between Edge and Seth Rollins is being planned as a way to continue to stack the SmackDown portion of the card. As noted, WWE plans to have Universal Champion Roman Reigns take on John Cena in the main event. 

“Along w/ Roman Reigns vs John Cena for SummerSlam, WWE is planning on stacking the SmackDown side with another major matchup. Source says idea as of now is for a Seth Rollins vs Edge first time ever match.”

It was first reported by Jon Alba that Edge will be working as a babyface on the SmackDown side when he returns to WWE TV. 

Edge had previously been working SmackDown leading up to Wrestlemania as a heel.He is currently being advertised for the July 16 episode of SmackDown in Houston.
