WWE NXT TakeOver 36 Results: Kyle O’Reilly vs. Adam Cole

The following is our play-by-play coverage of the WWE NXT TakeOver 36 event:

Kyle O’Reilly vs. Adam Cole – Best 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match (1st Fall is a Singles Match, 2nd Fall is a Street Fight and the 3rd Fall is a Steel Cage Match)

They brawled to start this one off and traded knee strikes. Cole with a head kick so O’Reilly no sold it and caught him with a clothesline. O’Reilly went off the top rope and Cole caught him with a superkick. Cole went for a panama sunrise, but O’Reilly blocked it and covered him for the first fall. O’Reilly got hit in the chest with a chair. O’Reilly tossed him into the barricade. O’Reilly hit a drop kick off the apron to Cole, who had a trash can on his head. Cole hit him a few times with a kendo stick. They both grabbed chains and hit each other with it.

Cole with a nasty superkick for a near fall. Cole put him in the lockjaw for a moment. Cole won the second fall when he tossed Kyle off the top rope onto standing chairs then hit the last shot. They used the cage to their advantage. Cole came off the top rope to hit the panama sunrise for a near fall. Cole brought out handcuffs and locked Kyle to the cage. Kyle caught a kick and locked in a knee bar for the win. 

Winner: Kyle O’Reilly
