According to a report by Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is interested in purchasing the FITE streaming platform.

FITE is the premier pay-per-view streaming platform for all major promotions outside of WWE including IMPACT Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and even AEW in international markets.
The report notes that interest has been strong enough that there have been meetings regarding this situation. While it is unknown what the ramifications of this would be, Dave Meltzer hypothesizes that WWE could potentially use the purchase of FITE as part of a tiered structure for the WWE Network.
