Reportedly according to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE’s interest in bringing Strowman back has stemmed from AEW’s recent signing spree. A spree that looks set to continue if recent reports are to be believed. According to Dave Meltzer:

“There is an interest in bringing Strowman back, especially after recent AEW signings.”

Strowman first signed for WWE in 2013. He would make his first appearance as one of Adam Rose’s “Rosebuds”, before going on to become a member of the Wyatt Family, and then a single’s star. He would become a one-time Universal Champion, a two-time WWE Raw Tag Team Champion and a one-time Intercontinental Champion. He would remain with the company until his release. This report has also come not long after Strowman made it clear he was itching to return to wrestling.
