As planned, WWE taped several matches and segments on Saturday at their Performance Center facility in Orlando, Florida for the next two episodes of Friday Night SmackDown and 205 Live.

The company taped two episodes of their weekly blue brand WWE on FOX program, as well as two episodes of their weekly Cruiserweight-themed 205 Live program that airs on the WWE Network every week immediately following SmackDown.

This means all of the content for the SmackDown brand appears to be “in the can” leading up to the big two-night spectacular on April 4th and April 5th, as the matches and segments taped at the empty arena in the WWE Performance Center were for the March 27th and April 3rd shows, the latter of which are the final “go-home” shows for WrestleMania 36.

According to PWInsider.com, the taping of all of the content for the next two weeks worth of SmackDown and 205 Live shows was described as a very long and exhausting day for many as they began early in the morning and ran into the evening.

Grueling taping schedule aside, WWE is reportedly working extremely hard to tape enough content to get them through the next few weeks, no matter what it takes. With several states locking down businesses and activities as the Coronavirus Pandemic continues, WWE is attempting to be prepared to have as much content “in the can” ready to go in case they are put in a position where they are shut down from operating on any level due to COVID-19-related issues.
