Elias will be the featured musical guest for WrestleMania 35 this weekend (Sun. April 7, 2019). WWE recently polled fans on which of the following songs they’d like the man formerly known as “The Drifter” to perform at “The Show Of Shows”:
- “New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra
- “Shallow” by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper
- “Thunder Road” by Bruce Springsteen
According to a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, the plan is for someone to “shut up” Elias during his performance at WrestleMania. Of course, this was expected, as Elias is interrupted 99 percent of the time he performs musically in WWE. Meltzer noted that names like John Cena, The Undertaker, and Bray Wyatt are rumored for the job.
The segment might be Elias’ only role at WrestleMania, as he is not being advertised for the 6th Annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. WrestleMania 35 goes down Sunday night from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
