Carlito may have once been one of WWE’s youngest champions, but the “cool” Superstar is pleased to now be a veteran in the same promotion.

On a recent edition of the “Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw” podcast, the LWO member discussed his current role with WWE. He said,

“It’s fun the second time around just because I’m one of the elder statesmen,” Carlito said. “I’m one of the veterans now… It’s cool now because my job is to help out the younger talent; that’s what I enjoy about it now, is being able to help these young guys and pass on whatever knowledge I have on to them.”

Carlito won the U.S. Title in late 2004 at the age of 25. He held the record for the youngest WWE U.S. Champion until Austin Theory won in 2022.

After a surprise appearance in the 2021 men’s Royal Rumble match, Carlito returned to WWE at last year’s Backlash pay-per-view event in Puerto Rico.
