Last month, Vince McMahon resigned from his position at TKO Group after a lawsuit from former WWE employee Janel Grant accused him of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and more. WWE and John Laurinaitis are also named as defendants in the lawsuit.
On a recent edition of his “Keepin’ It 100” podcast, AAA booker Konnan weighed in on the scandal, calling McMahon’s situation a “sad fall from grace.”
Konnan said, “To me, this is what’s sad about it: this is the most powerful man, probably, in the modern history of wrestling. The guy that really made it the juggernaut that it is today, the creative genius that he is, and it is a sad fall from grace. But you see, people make the same mistake. They think they ain’t gonna get caught. They make the same mistakes, and you go, ‘What are you doing? Do you not see what’s happened in the past?’ There’s a blueprint.”
