Carmelo Hayes is reportedly heading to the WWE main roster in the near future.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Hayes, who is currently involved in a heated feud with Trick Williams, will be called up to either RAW or SmackDown after his match with Williams at the NXT Stand & Deliver pay-per-view event.
The match between Hayes and Williams is currently planned to main event the April 6th WWE NXT pay-per-view event in Philadelphia, PA. While that is not locked into place as the main event could still be the NXT Championship match between Ilja Dragunov and Tony D’Angelo, WWE officials are pushing for Hayes vs. Williams to headline the show. Shawn Michaels has been very hands-on with the Hayes/Williams storyline.
Finally, it was said that Hayes is set for his main roster call-up in the summer and has been planned for the call-up since the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. WWE officials were very happy with the reaction he received during his appearances at the 2024 Royal Rumble and on an episode of SmackDown back in January. There have also been some pitches to have Williams and Hayes continue their feud on the main roster, but that remains to be seen.
