As we previously reported here on eWn, The Rock vs. Roman Reigns is currently planned to headline this year’s WrestleMania 40 pay-per-view event. Of course, plans can change.
On Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes revealed that he wouldn’t challenge Roman Reigns at this year’s “Showcase of the Immortals.” He then introduced The Rock.
The Rock took to Instagram to hype up his matchup with Reigns. The Instagram post featured some of the reactions to his surprise return on SmackDown during the segment with Reigns and Rhodes.
The Rock wrote in the caption, “This is gonna be so much fun. Long game.”
The Rock and Roman Reigns are scheduled for a WrestleMania XL Kickoff event on Thursday, February 8 in Las Vegas, NV. It’s rumored that WWE will officially announce The Rock vs. Roman Reigns match at the media event.
Logan Paul recently expressed his support for Cody Rhodes after the latter lost his WrestleMania 40 spot to The Rock despite winning the 2024 men’s Royal Rumble match.
