WWE Monday Night RAW Results for June 8, 2020

Here are the results for this week’s Monday Night RAW.

Before the match, Bayley says that everyone should be thankful for them gracing RAW with their presence and they remind everyone they are the new women’s tag team champions. Asuka tells Bayley this is her ring and she’s not here to talk, but she’s here to fight. Sasha says she needs to back up before Charlotte Flair comes out.

Flair says Bayley and Sasha need to keep up with their stamina since she’s on every show. She also says they better be careful that those tag titles don’t get lost. Flair says she’s scheduled to face Asuka, and that’s what everyone wants to see and she orders Sasha and Bayley to leave. The IIconics come out.

Kay says that’s not the match everyone wants to see. It’s the triple threat tag team title match that will happen at Backlash between Sasha Banks and Bayley, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross and The IIconics.

Bayley says Charlotte’s attempt to break up she and Sasha’s friendship failed because they won the tag titles. Flair says she doesn’t need a title or two to be relevant, and no matter how many titles they have, Banks and Bayley will still be garbage. Bans and Bayley attack Flair while The IIconics jump Asuka. The IIconics, Sasha Banks and Bayley turn their attention to each other before FLair and Asuka fight back and send the four out the ring, leaving Asuka and Charlotte in the ring facing off.

Asuka and Charlotte Flair vs. The IIconics vs. Sasha Banks and Bayley

Asuka and Flair win when Charlotte goes for a moonsault, but Asuka tags herself in and gets the Asuka Lock on Bille Kay for the win.

Winners: Asuka and Charlotte Flair

After the match, Asuka is attacked by Flair and holds up her championship, reminding Asuka she hasn’t beaten her.

We get a recap of Rollins’ segment last week.

Seth Rollins comes out on commentary and Mysterio calls him a son of a bitch from his house. Mysterio is asked for a medical update on his eye and he says that the prognosis is promising, but further damage still puts him at high risk. He also doesn’t know when he’ll be medically cleared, but here’s a warning to Seth. He’s not going to wait until the end of the match to hit him with a 619, and he’s going to pay.

Seth tells Rey that he doesn’t know the power of his words and that he had the opportunity to gracefully walk away after his greatest moment in WWE, but he spreads misinformation. Seth says Rey was given an opportunity to walk away a legend and he wanted to give him one more chance. He wants to personally invite him and his son Dominick to RAW next week in the hopes they’ll come in peace so they can realize the sacrifice he made was for the greater good.

Rey isn’t falling for Seth’s BS and believes he’s only coming because he’s not medically cleared. Seth tells Rey that he’s not understanding but right out of nowhere, Aliester Black dives on him and attacks as we cut to commercial.

Aliester Black and Humberto Carrillo vs. Austin Theory and Murphy

Black and Carrillo win when Black hits a high knee on Murphy for the win.

Winners: Aliester Black and Humberto Carrillo

After the match, Rollins comes out with a Mysterio mask and he, Murphy and Theory jump Carrillo and Black. Theory hits a TKO on Carrillo and Murphy gets a knee on Black. Rollins hits a Curb Stomp on Black to follow.

Randy Orton is interviewed backstage and he’s asked for how he prepared for a match with high expectations. He’s only concerned if Edge is going to be the only guest on the Peep Show, and he’s asked if that was next and it is. Orton says that’s excellent. Orton says the Peep Show may have two guests instead of one.

Christian and Edge are out on the Peep Show, and Christian tells Edge he believes he’s running on fumes. Edge stares at Christian in disbelief. Christian says he also believes he doesn’t think Edge could pull off putting on the greatest wrestling match ever in his prime. Those are high expectations, and Edge is lying to himself if he thinks he can live up to those expectations.

Edge asks Christian if he knows what he’s going through having no matches in over 9.5 years. It’s like being dropped at Mount Everest and climb to the top with no gear. So excuse him if he has self-doubt. This isn’t the same Edge that used to look Christian in the eye to give him confidence when he was so nervous that he couldn’t go out for each tag team match. Orton’s been there for those 9.5 years, and he’s firing on all cylinders, and Edge doesn’t know how many cylinders he has left. Christian says he’s making excuses and he didn’t realize what he was getting into when he came back.

Christian says Edge’s lack of belief in himself is disturbing, but his mother is someone who used to believe in him and she’d be there for every match that he had. If Edge isn’t going to show up for Backlash, then step through the ropes and go home. Edge changes his look, and Christian says that’s the look he was looking for. CHristian also says that Edge has the anti-venom and he showed it at WrestleMania, and he believes he can have the greatest wrestling match ever.

Orton is backstage and he says he needs both Edge and Christian to shut the hell up. Orton calls Edge’s guarnatee that he’s only going to try is pathetic. Randy will embarrass him this Sunday, send him home to his family and that the redemption story ends on Sunday. Edge says no it’s not.

MVP is asked about Lashley’s full Nelson on Drew McIntyre last week, and he says that if he wants further answers, he’ll have to tune into the VIP Lounge later tonight. R-Truth is backstage and he tells MVP that if anybody asks him, don’t reveal his location. Lashley gets the Full Nelson on him from behind.

The Viking Raiders and Street Profits have a Decathalon. The Profits win a Relay Race, Pole Vaulting and Hurdles while the Viking Raiders win Archery and Flip Cup and Turkey Leg Eating.

Apollo Crews is out and he has new theme music. He announces that at Backlash, he’s defending the United States Championship against the winner of a triple threat match featuring Andrade, Kevin Owens and Angel Garza.

Andrade vs. Kevin Owens vs. Angel Garza

Kevin Owens hit a Stunner on Garza, but Andrade steals the pin for the win.

Winner: Andrade

Charlotte Flair is interviewed backstage and she’s asked about last night, and she said that she didn’t lose last night because she wasn’t pinned or submitted. It’s always a busy 24 hours when you’re the queen, and that’s the difference between her and everyone else. Flair says she still accomplished her goal of main eventing shows. Asuka interrupts her and Flair asks her if she ever takes anything seriously. Asuka slaps her.

Garza and Andrade are arguing backstage and they are met by Zelina, who was accidentially knocked down during the match. She says nothing and just points for them to leave.

Kurt Angle weighs in on Edge vs. Orton at Backlash. He goes with Edge.

The Viking Raiders are backstage and they ask if Drew McIntyre has decided to become a Viking. Drew says he’s still thinking about it. He says he hopes they can beat MVP and Lashley tonight so they can celebrate after with meat and turkey legs. Drew says they can still have fun before the match, and they suggest The Viking Raiders stick around because they never know what can happen at Monday Night RAW.

MVP is out for the VIP Lounge. He says the VIP Lounge is only reserved for people such as his guest, Bobby Lashley. Before he can introduce him, though, Drew McIntyre comes out. Drew says that he doesn’t want MVP to look silly coming out here, because he believes MVP was referring to him. McIntyre reminds MVP that he’s taken so many Claymores, but MVP says he hides behind no one and he wants to help Lashley reach his potential. He says he’ll ragdoll Drew at Backlash and win the WWE Title.

Drew asks MVP what’s the relationship between he and Lashley. How can MVP teach Lashley anything when he’s won zero world titles. McIntyre is going to have a countdown and will hit him with a Claymore. He counts down and when he reaches 1, Lashley comes up from behind but Drew catches him. He tells Lashley that the only way he’ll win that title is by prying it from his cold, dead hands. He headbutts MVP before the Viking Raiders come down. The Street Profits come after.

MVP and Bobby Lashley vs. The Viking Raiders

During the match, Lana is interviewed backstage. She says that she has realized that with Lashley asking her to stay backstage, she’s been neglecting her own career to worry about her marriage. But her priorities have since changed.

Lashley and MVP win when Erik taps out to the Full Nelson.

Winners: MVP and Bobby Lashley

After the match, Lashley gets the Nelson on Ivar. While he has the Full Nelson in, Drew hits the Claymore on Lashley and sends him out.
