Welcome Back…Not Stardust But Cody Rhodes

Good day to all. As I assume that everyone knows already, Dusty Rhodes passed at the age of 69. After his death was announced, I ponder to think of what WWE would do with the Stardust character. Do you relinquish it to the respect of the Rhodes name and bring back Cody Rhodes or just carry on and keep the dreaded character.

It’s not like I don’t like Stardust.. okay I don’t. The gimmick, a ripoff of Goldust is boring and Cody could do so much more things if he keeps the young and brass character, that he had joined the WWE in 2007 with. What do I suggest the WWE to do the character, well just have Cody come out on Raw after he returns, and says that he tarnished the family name. In the middle of the ring, he realizes that the character tarnished the Rhodes family name and right cost him many opportunities such as winning MITB and the Intercontinental Championship. Goldust, will then come out as his former self and help Cody with the transition period. During this period, Goldust plays the managerial role to Cody as he regains that brass attitude he once had. He beats jobbers like Zack Ryder and Adam Rose, and then Goldust comes into the fold.

With Goldust returning from injury, him and Cody reform a team, and paying homage to their late father calls it the “Rhodes Dynasty.” The dynasty itself is victorious in multiple tag team matches until they get a WWE Tag Team Championship match at the Royal Rumble. Rapid thoughts run though Cody’s head and he snaps…attacking Goldust, to set up their Wrestlemania encounter.

Cody’s explanation of attacking his brother, is simple he was once pressed with conquering and then getting gold. He be lives that Gold is the root to all evil and drove him apart from his father, and he blames Goldust. Goldust believes that he cost them the match at the Rumble is to protect himself so he could never become Stardust again. Cody slaps Goldust, and walks off. The match is set at Wrestlemania and Michael Cole hosts his weekly interviews to set up the match. The match itself is grander than anyone expected and to pay homage to the Rhodes name, Cody comes out in the American Dreams song. He has his wife announce the match, and it last a good several minutes. Cody wins, Goldust cries and says he retires because gold is greed and he doesn’t want that tarnishing the families name.

While that’s my blog. Tell me what you think in the comments below. Cheers.
