Recently, a handful of outlets reported that Kevin Kelly had left Ring of Honor, but several sources are now indicating some more details on the situation.

According to those reports, Kelly’s position with ROH has changed from a full-time employee to a freelancer who will work for the company between his commitments to New Japan Pro Wrestling, leaving his off-camera job which caused a great deal of stress when factoring in his dealings with NJPW.

Kelly will continue to work for ROH when possible, likely as a commentator, particularly as ROH looks for new talent to fill that role after the loss of Steve Corino and Nigel McGuinness who were recently hired by WWE as a trainer at the Performance Center and the newest addition to the NXT commentary team respectively. Ian Riccaboni—announcer for the Women of Honor brand—may step in as a more permanent fixture on the commentary team.
