Lio Rush’s Final Indy Match Set, GLOW’s Sydelle Noel Reveals Favorite Wrestler, More

— GLOW actress Sydelle Noel was interviewed by The Undefeated. When asked who her favorite wrestler was, she replied: “I grew up watching Hulk Hogan. As I got older, I think me and everybody else loved The Rock. The Rock was my all-time favorite. He took wrestling and made it his own. And now he’s one of the No. 1 actors in the world.”

— MCW Co-owner Dan McDevitt announced on Facebook that The Shamrock Cup Special will mark Lio Rush’s last match on the independent scene before he transitions over to WWE. The event is set for Saturday, August 12. You can read his full announcement below.

He will have his last independent wrestling match in the same building he was trained to be a pro wrestler. I am giving him the option of who he wants to wrestle. — A new documentary video was released called Piledrive A Fascist about the women’s wrestling promotion, Pro Wrestling EVE out of London, England. The promotion is also a feminist group that stands for female empowerment and equality. Some of the featured subjects in the documentary include Mae Young Classic competitors Piper Niven (aka Viper) and Kay Lee Ray. Other subjects include Kate Nash of the Netflix TV series GLOW.
