Welcome to another edition of eWN Round Table, where we gather some of the most active writers here on eWrestlingNews and share the platform to answer some questions surrounding a centralized topic, upcoming event, etc.

This is meant to showcase the potential for both a wide range of perspectives as well as how sometimes, there can be a group consensus no matter what your viewpoint is, so we also invite all of you to join in on the discussion by answering these questions yourself in the comments section below.

For this particular volume, we’ll be focusing on WWE Super ShowDown 2020, scheduled for Thursday, February 27th at 12pm ET.

Participants for this round = Anthony Mango, Bradley Jay, Richard Staple, Steve Mitchell, Ethan Absler, Carol Cassada and John Scafide.

1) “Mansoor hasn’t been booked for this card, after being featured at the last two events. If WWE asked you to put him on the show, what match would you book for him?”

MANGO: Have R-Truth not make it to Saudi Arabia or get attacked backstage. Then, Mansoor replaces him in the gauntlet match and beats a handful of people, only to lose to AJ Styles at the end.

JAY: You need someone who can kick the crap out of Mansoor, make him look like the million dollar babyface but won’t really suffer when he loses to the hometown hero. Some who can look like a crazed American without going full blown xenophobe. There’s one man for the job. Mansoor versus Oney Lorcan

STAPLE: Mansoor had one of the best singles matches on PPV last year against Cesaro. If I’m WWE, I’ll go to the well once again and call for a rematch. Since he’s not on WWE, that’s the only form of story I can think of for him.

MITCHELL: Make Mansoor a surprise entrant in the Tuwaiq Gauntlet, using some sort of kayfabe reason as to why, say, Erick Rowan couldn’t make it. In fact, Rowan could stay behind because his creature-pet couldn’t make it through customs.

ABSLER: Mansoor is not booked on this event, but if I had to put him anywhere on the card, I would put him in the Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet match. This is a multiple superstar match and adding one more to the mix, especially a hometown hero, wouldn’t hurt.

CASSADA: I would book Mansoor for the Tuwaiq Trophy gauntlet match as a surprise participant, and maybe set up a future feud with either Bobby Lashley or Andrade.

SCAFIDE: Who? I’m kidding. I’d actually book him against Bray. Hear me out. The match with Goldberg is just to get a big star on the card. But the rest of the card is like a traditional PPV. So, forget that one big star in Goldberg. Who is actually going to care there about Goldberg? Ugh, anyway, back to it. Have a Mansoor vs Fiend build for a few weeks leading up to the event. Great for a local attraction, and have him on this high after the last two events. But have Bray be just too much for the young talent, and pretty much squashing Mansoor in a matter of 6 minutes. But it wouldn’t be without a huge entrance, some high spots in the very beginning, and even getting Bray on the ground for a 2 count. The crowd will eat it and love every second. Bray wins in clean fashion. I mean, I’m no writer or anything, just a silly fan.
