According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, SmackDown’s status as a lame-duck show may be coming to an end once it switches networks in January 2016 when it moves from SyFy to the USA Network.
Jerry Lawler previously hinted that the show may may go back to Friday nights and go live but we’ve heard no update on that. However, there has been talk of debuting SmackDown on USA with a live Tuesday night special.
Once SmackDown is moved to the USA Network next year it will likely be booked as a “all hands on-deck” show compared to RAW.
