With all the happenings thanks to the #GiveDivasAChance trend going on, it seems the WWE could possibly be looking for new feuds to create that doesn’t solely involve the Diva’s Championship. That being said I’d like to throw out what I think would be a career highlight for both Diva’s involved. Eva Marie vs Summer Rae. There is well documented heat between Summer and Eva Marie. It started during the filming of Total Diva’s Season Two in the episode entitled “Red and Gold.” Summer had some harsh words to say about her tag team partner behind her back and even went so far as to refuse tagging Eva Marie in during one of their match ups. Most recently Summer Rae took a stab at Eva Marie for using Instagram to show her fans her training progress. The shade thrown by Summer has not gone unnoticed by WWE Diva’s fans and it would make the perfect launching pad to kick off Eva’s Red Redemption storyline. It also keeps Summer Rae in the fold and relevant given the fact the Miz will be returning to Hollywood leaving Summer with a loose end storyline wise. In previous blogs, I have mentioned that they should really build up the hype for Eva Marie to return through a series of vignettes and a decent showing over one of the other women. There are so many different ways to create this feud upon Eva’s return, but my preferred way would be to have Summer Rae on the mic cutting a promo on how much better she is than the other Diva’s since she now has Hollywood status. She could then remark about how the division was full of wannabes who think just looking pretty earns them a spot on the WWE roster and make a remark about how even Eva Marie is getting attention for no reason. (One idea is to have Eva win a relatively high profile singles bout with an established Diva and Summer Rae could comment on how all Eva’s wins are flukes.) Eva could come out and a tense standoff could ensue ending with the ladies brawling in the ring before Summer slides out to head to the back. Working with Summer in this kind of story will give Eva the opportunity to work with someone who is good in the ring and on the mic. Other Diva’s such as Tamina, Cameron, Alicia, or Layla could be involved and it could even spill over to involve Damien Sandow who would benefit from pairing himself with a Diva for a while. It would be great to see Natalya get involved in this as we all know how she feels about Summer Rae and working with Nattie would also really boost Eva Marie. With decent booking and attention this storyline could really take off and prove to be a long standing feud that could eventually spill over into the title picture and the two women’s careers for the rest of their runs with the company.
